The book is a spiritual and mythical parable around Hafid (a poor camel boy who achieved a life of abundant riches) and his search for a protégé, to whom he can pass on the teachings of his success. The success Hafid has acquired has been a result of the teachings of ten scrolls, gifted to him by his wealthy mentor, and by applying each lesson learned in the scrolls to his everyday life.
One by one the scrolls are revealed, with the stipulation that chapter 2 cannot be read until chapter 1 is finished etc. To actually read this book the way it is intended would take 10 months (as each chapter is supposed to be read three times a day, for thirty days) however you can read it in one sitting and still get out of it what you want.
Without giving too much away, this book is very simple to read and is focused on changing your habits and way of thinking to enable you to reach your goals in life.

“I will persist until I succeed. I was not delivered into this world into defeat, nor does failure course in my veins. I am not a sheep waiting to be prodded by my shepherd. I am a lion and I refuse to talk, to walk, to sleep with the sheep. The slaughterhouse of failure is not my destiny. I will persist until I succeed.”
“I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness for it shows me the stars.”
