Most people imagine dying either in their sleep or with their loved ones beside them.
But imagine lying on your deathbed and looking up, and seeing ghosts. Surrounding your bed are ghosts representing the ideas, dreams, innovations, and abilities given to you during your life and for some reason you never cultivated them. You never realised that potential, you never pursued that dream, and you never expressed your leadership qualities or inspired change in others.
Those ghosts are looking at you, and they are angry. They are full of disappointment and a lack of understanding. Why didn’t you write that book?! Why didn’t you become a stand-up comedian?! Why didn’t get into the music industry?!
You see when you die, those gifts, talents and abilities die with you. And that is why they are angry; because they were never tapped. That is why the graveyard is so valuable. Just imagine the number of inventions, cures or academic papers that were never created or shared because people for whatever reason never made the first step. Just imagine the number of dreams that were never realised, lying there in those coffins because of a lack of determination; to start something and see it through against all odds.
So when your time comes, make sure death is coming to find you whilst you're climbing Everest, or skydiving in Zambia, or base-jumping off the Burj Khalifa. Otherwise your death bed is going to become a very crowded and angry place.
