PRESSURE

Pressure is what can burst pipes, but, let us not forget that pressure is what is used to create diamonds.

We all must deal with pressure at different points in our lives. How we handle that pressure determines whether or not we turn to Dust or Diamonds.

Lets take Michael Jordan for example. This was a man who, every time he stepped onto the court, was under pressure to take that game winning shot.

“I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life…

                And that is why I succeed.”

Jordan never shied away from pressure. He stared pressure straight in the face. He wasn’t afraid of the outcome. He was focused on surpassing everything in front of him. “What if?” statements throw fuel on the fire of stress and worry. Things can go in a million different directions, and the more time you spend worrying about the possibilities, the less time you’ll spend focusing on taking action that will calm you down and help achieve your goals. Calm people like Jordan know that asking “what if?” will only take them to a place they don’t want—or need—to go.

Your mind-set on how you view pressure will help develop your character. You should view pressure simply like this;

 ‘The world is telling me that it’s my time to prove myself, to show everyone what I am really about. This is my chance and I refuse to let anything stop me’.

So next time you feel the weight of the world pushing you down look at it as an opportunity to prove your worth and lift that weight up. Much like squatting in the weights room; The heavier the load on your shoulders the stronger you become after you have learned to lift it.

Start Unknown. Finish Unforgettable
