What do you think is the most precious commodity we have? gold, diamonds, crude oil…
Time.
Time cannot be bought or sold, it cannot be traded or replaced, it cannot be extended or stored away. Regardless of Who you are and what your circumstances are you only receive 24 hours in a day. If each day you truly understood that time cannot be given back would you spend it differently, or would you continue to waste it? What separates the great and successful from the norm is that they realize success is built upon how they use this time productively.
So let us define productivity. It is “Applying the most amount of effort to the best of your ability in the allotted time that you have” (Jaret Grossman). It is one thing to show up at the gym but what you must ask yourself is What did I do at the gym today, has it brought me a step closer to where I want to be? The successful people understand this concept and aim to give their all in every task they do, whether it’s doing the house work or running a FTSE 100 company.
You have an allotted amount of time in this world to perform a task, so you need to start giving it your absolute ALL in doing that action. Time, and how you spend it, will define success and failure.
You can let it become your greatest resource, or you can let it become your biggest excuse. Too often people complain about the time it will take for something to be done. The time will pass anyway, so why not spend it trying to reach your goals?
Time is what we want most, but use worst
